Taiwan was fun! Lotsa stuff to see and it was almost shopping everyday (though not able to spend too much) here’s a rough summary.
got to take the same plane from hk to taipei with t.A.T.u too. :) Cathay Pacific is nice; just that there was no game program, despite having a game console. The trip travelling to hualien was quite difficult, with roads following the shoreline, and changes direction every 3seconds. Plus it was ~300m above sea level. But the scenery, heavenly. One side was like high mountains, the other side was the cliff. And the Pacific Ocean spread out beyond the horizon. The sea was surprisingly clear, in this copper (II) sulphate solution colour. (anyway, the seawater near the shore contains some copper (II) ions due to the mining activities around the area) night market in kaoshiung, taichung and taipei was full of people and stalls. Lots of stuff to buy, but the price is quite similar to the prices in Singapore. But I find the quality for price slightly better. Tried some local food, and wasn’t used to the taste. Speaking of food, I have to talk about this damn cool restaurant. The interior decoration was that of a tree house, very unique and gave this very relaxing feel. The chairs were actually made from wood from railway tracks. Cool. Yawn…
Cheers!
