Finally the windows and doors changing is over!!! And now my room looks different :P

This is how my room looks like (minus the newspaper) from the outside without windows. see my Blue poster? got that when I bought the All Rise Album :) anyway, orange and white is such a nice combination, don't you think so?

Ta da! new windows!!! unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo before they remove the old window... so no comparisons made... oh well... and the window is damn bright!!! now every morning (and night, cos of TV lights from the other block) I have to suffer that blinding light shining in. Ahhhhh! dracula waking up in the sunlight. Growl! its that bright.

I wrote this on the last day of term 2. Well, maybe the person who asked me that won’t be reading this, but I hope he does understand what I said the other time.

What makes me happy? Many things, I would say. Ranging from hanging out with friends, a smile from anyone, getting a new CD to Germany winning world cup, good grades… etc, etc… I am contented with what I have, its like, I worked hard enough to my abilities, I worked hard, studied hard, played hard and practically enjoyed hard. I wake up everyday telling myself today will be a good day. Maybe not all, I love my gfs, gals who stick by me even if I scream at them. I love my classmates who cheered me up with all the funny jokes. Actually, I never felt so split until JC. Is it the wrong choice? No. I think I did well here and people are great and fun. So what is wrong?

I feel pathetic. I still feel sore about what happened last year and now, I never felt more insincere than this year. I still don’t really know what actually wrong and I can only come up with hypothetical explanation: I talk too much and had to shoulder all the blame.

I’m sorry, I’ll avoid you but it won’t be obvious. You are too complicated for me. You were the one to cheer me up, yet you brought unhappiness to my life.

Happiness is ephemeral and superficial. Unhappiness last the years – unfortunately. I need to change this fact, lest I cry again.

Send me a guardian angel for happiness to last the years – someone simple and innocent

That is one song I find myself humming unconsciously.

I have officially wasted about one and a half week of the holidays (and counting) by not mugging, but playing around. anyway, was supposed to be helping out at the raffles cup on tuesday and wednesday, but ended up spending most of the time playing bridge. lol... and the pictures I took aren't so fantastic, or rather, they are a little too blur thanks to my shaky hands.

but come to think of it, playing is fun. like et and wj, grace is also itching to play pool. damn. This sounds bad.

Lala~ met the class at bishan to get the stuff we want to give to the elderly before making it to toa payoh. We made our way to the block and joined the elderly in their weekly Monday activities. It is something to keep their minds active and for the volunteers to better interact with them. Yep! After a round of introduction, they insist someone singing a song. So mr red face got sabo-ed to sing 童话. (qt commendable, though I found the song a little out of tune) Then ql and shemang sang 月亮带表我的心. Kudos! Then one of the more senior volunteer told a story and kz recited the story. Then was time for the visits. My group (consisting of kz, wh, mk and me) visited the first uncle who was wheelchair bound and started learning the piano two weeks ago. (so my piano scores wasn’t much help) a very nice uncle who told us about baozhu (the volunteer-in-charge) and the things she did for the elderly living in the block. Then he commented about the lifts (which we found out why later). The second elderly we visited was this very cheerful old lady who can only speak in teochew. Using my (not so) fluent teochew, I manage to converse (un)effectively. She also makes interesting comments about the 3 guys’ ears and told them not to bully me. :P heard that guys! Lol…

After the whole CIP, we went to TPY HDB hub for lunch. After lunch, we initially want to play bowling. (Fast forward) after much discussion, we decided to play pool in TPY. Then those who did not bring CVs have to go and get clothes. kw, qx and js were damn funny, all got the same orange tee. Lol… anyway, pool was fun! wj and et got a lot of beginners’ luck!!! wj was damn good at getting tricky shots and et, well, won every group game. To et: btw, I won the last game after you left. Must be your luck :P lol… shemang and ql are good as well, scoring many shots. gg as usual, qt gg lah. Come to think of it, if we had play bowling, most of my shots will prolly go into the gutter.

Anw, the trip home could have been nice if the train wasn’t so crowded and I haven’t been so quiet.

Aaaaaahhhhh!!!! Chess CIP tml!!! zw was damn funny. ms grace was appointed to be a photographer (for tomorrow’s event) lol…

Tuesday

Yep! Went to school for make up chem and maths lecture. Then was class outing :) 12 of us went to cineleisure to watch X-men 3. X-men 3 was damn cool, but sad as well. Anyway, I shouldn’t be a spoiler and will only do a short summary of the movie. Basically, jean grey died in X-2 and now she is back, but with vengeance and the dark side of her split personality was unleashed. Meanwhile, humans found a cure for mutation. This incurred the mutants’ wrath and magneto took advantage of the situation to build his mutant army.

After the movie, some went back and a group went to play pool. Pool was fun! But as usual, grace is not very good at aiming. Lol… then we went to somewhere near dhoby ghaut for dinner, then was dota! That was my first time playing warcraft :P guess, a noob wouldn’t fare too well when playing with the experts. Yep. Lala~ but it was good exposure :)

Wednesday

Yep! Went to NUS for SMO. Got there a little too late, but luckily they haven’t start yet. The questions were really interesting this time round and it actually involves Einstein’s birthday. Lol… lala~ then yx and I try to make our way to wj’s house.

We finally managed to get to wj’s house. gals there includes yx, et, ql, hy, hf, me and obviously wj. Ate steamboat lunch. Very nice. Got lots and lots of food. wj also prepared a spicy szechuan steamboat, which I find quite addictive :) lala~ then we chatted and played cards and etc. lala~ oh yar. wj’s brother is damn cute :) yep yep.

P.S. OoooooooH! I can’t take my eyes off you :P
