Back to school
Yeah! got some last minute relief teaching job for one week! so I'm back! Big thanks to CH for recommending me :D

busy week
Went for TS outing on friday. was supposed to meet at PS to eat crystal jade, but apparently they could not move the seats such that 9 people are sitting together. so we ended up at manhattan. lala~ after fish and chips, we headed to paradiz to play lan. lol... and i realised one thing. choose the name wisely and don't use things like "GG". my connection died halfway lah! :S damn sad lah! my team was then down to 2 person. initially we were owning :D then there was a turning point when yy and alex both got killed at the same time :S hmm.. then yee siang had to leave. then after that we went to play pool. pool was fun :D and I got my pool skills back, although I can't jump ball properly now. lol... then later I stayed on, then we found washington at opposite paradiz and went to eat tao huay with some washington people, amaan, ameen and maria. lala~ then later I got home late :S gg!

OBS
Just came back from the DSTA 5 days OBS :) it was really fun and enjoyable. was a little shag after the whole thing, but I'll give a short summary of the 5days.
Day 1
Reached Pulau Ubin and was split into 3 watches. My watch is called Tock Seng (as in Tan Tock Seng) and our instructor is Candy. we started playing some games, and there was this animal game, where everyone is blindfolded and the members of team have to find each other by making the sound of the animal we were assigned to. we got cow and were the 1st team to assemble. so which was why we got our moo moo identity. then we started climbing the inverse tower. I partnered Michelle and we tried the zig zag bar one. unfortunately for me, I was unable to get past the tube :( so we couldn't get to the the top. but it was a fun experience. Later into the night, we were packing to get ready for our sea expedition. The girls were in charged of the food (and we later realised that we should actually pack more stuff). Sleep was bad, the ground was so hard. My watch had decided that the tent is prolly too hot with fly sheet, so we decided to do without it for 2 of our tents. later in the night, it rained. :S
Day 2
Sailing! Early in the morning, we started packing on to our cutter using the viper. and I have to fall down twice and bruise my left knee :( more abrasions! :( when we were almost ready to set sail, there was CAT 1 :( so we all have to rush back to camp 1. and there, I fell asleep. haha... when the sky was cleared again, we rushed back to the cutter again. and this time, our baby avon got prob, so we were the last to set sail. then there was a change of plan. instead of Changi, we head to camp 2. so we spent 4hrs sailing to camp 2. it was amazing to know that there are so much stuff involved in sailing and that everyone on the cutter has to collaborate well in order to have a good course ahead. the guys were great. doing all the tekan and brute force stuff for the 5 of us. :) The 5 of us were like standing there looking lost. haha... then we finally reached camp 2. and we are the latest again. There was no viper for us this time. so we had to use the baby avon. but the engine spoilt :( so had to paddle there. after some paddling, the instructors decided to use the viper to get us. At night, we had to do sentry duty. so I made this mad suggestion that the whole watch go down together. and we were there from 12-2.30am till we all buay tahan. and it was a relatively good sleep as we were all damn shag.
Day 3
Sailing again. this time we were again last to get onto the cutter. was another long trip this time. and we were sailing towards Sembawang. took the helm near the end of the trip :) was really fun :) Then we had to unload to head to Sembawang. the place near the beach was horrible :( full of sand flies, mosquitoes, ants and what nots. was damn badly bitten :( we had a cooking competition there at Sembawang. our watch, decided to jus pour campbell onto instant noodles, which turned our quite well. I must say Washington watch did a good job though. haha... then we had our dinner there. Then came the "bad" news that we have to sleep in the cutter. in the end the Ameen and Amaan ferry service sent the girls back to the cutter for us to do our wash up. I must say we took quite long, and again was the last team to get ready for sleep. so we were all like quite stinky and had to powder bath all the way. In the end, I slept on the seat, with both my feet stuck out into the sea and woke up with a cramp in the feet because it was so damn cold. so I woke up to get another poncho.
Day 4
when I woke up, I was sleeping on the side, and feeling a lot of cramps, cos I was still very cold. I did a turn and fell off the seat. :( more bruises :( after a bit of washing up (with seawater) the instructor make us do a morning dip. it was so cool! I must say. I am starting to like the sea now. but when I come to the cutter, my left knee abrasions started hurting like mad again :( today I was baking in the sun and got damn tanned, or rather damn sunburnt. cos I can't really be bothered with putting on more sunblock again. we set sail. the first part was super calm, so we all had to row there. so it was dip-pull-dip-pull all the way until the wind started to pick up. damn hot lah! finally we got back to camp 1! and it was already quite late. After that we had a night walk, and we walked to camp 2 in like 30min (while we took 4hrs to sail there :S ) night walk was a nice one. we had to share something about ourselves which many people wouldn't know. and I talked about my salvation. throughout the night walk I didn't fall! haha... at night, I was trying to psycho people to play cards with me, but apparently everyone is like too shag or something. I fell asleep quite fast at the end as well.
Day 5
Back to civilisation! Our last challenge was the trapeze. I jumped twice, but was this close to grabbing the bar :( all the guys managed to get the bar and all the girls didn't... lol... finally, it was going back to mainland. quite a lot of mixed feelings, but was glad to get back. back at mainland, the whole watch went to KFC for a tea break. before heading home.
before I know it, I dozed off at 11pm.
and I woke up the next day at 4pm.

conveyor belt
whee~
sushi today :)
went to this japanese restaurant at cineleisure with the morning table people today. on the bus to the mrt station, vanessa got onto the bus. and vanessa happily ignored me :( lol... then we headed off to the japanese restaurant and waited there (for quite some time) for hanyou, jess kang and ruizhi. so we spent like most of the time deciding between a la carte or buffet. so in the end it was a la carte. and we ordered so much food! the whole table was like filled with plates and bowls. then being bored and all that, and looking at the cream puffs coming towards us at regular intervals, we decided to rearrange the cream puffs and sushis, such that you have consecutive cream puffs :P lala~ so in the end we managed to arranged such that you have like 20 cream puffs side by side :) after a while, I guessed the manager realised then she came to our side and started rearranging the plates.
and our initial plan was to go down to mind's cafe to play board games, but we ended up walking around orchard supposedly shopping for uni and I have to shop for winter clothes. (still remember about two GSS ago, I was at mango with my mom and I saw there was this damn nice coat on sale for like 39 bucks. and my mom told me not to buy because I prolly wouldn't be using it any time soon. oh well....) and it was quite amazing to know that quite a number of girls hate wearing skirts. hmm... they will learn soon :P

baaaadddd cough today :(
anyway, went to vivo to meet yuxin and weijia today. lala~ had a wonderful meal at earle's swensons today :) no more baked rice~ wheeee~ yep yep. got this seafood plater and a crayfish pasta (apparently, I have to dismember the crayfish) lol... then we had the ice cream fondue (which aggravated the cough) weijia, after eating the ice cream, got damn cold. then she jus grabbed on to my arm, and according to the zeroth law of thermodynamics, we are in thermal equilibrium... well, you get the idea.
then we went waking around vivo. well, in vivo, prices are kind of jacked up.
and of course the main agenda of the day is to drink at starbucks :) got my favourite java chips frappe :) (which further aggravates the cough) lala~ then the three of us just spent a lot of time reminising about our jc life. the most eventful years of my life. s01d, the class which was practically made of stones :P The people that I really misses. the good friends that I love (platonically of course!) so much and the infactuations. somehow, I wished I know each and everyone a lot better. there are regrets and there are proud moments. there are happiness and tears. ups and downs all packed into a mere two years.
time really flies. to think that 3month ago, I was still at cpf hoping that my relief teaching days will start soon... and zoom... one term had just went past.
now I'm hoping uni starts soon

met dawn at vivo today for our facial date :) lol... and the method beauty salon get customer is like this:
1. They got some roadshow and offered you some 1st time trial
2. After you gone for it, they promote some package
3. Then they insist that you probably needs it
4. And you fell for it
lol... then we head for suntec area. GSS this time round is so not good :( the stuffs are like pretty much overpriced stuff by 30% stuff, reduced by 20% (well, you get the meaning) if not, the 50% discount things are like, "heck! I can't find my size" or "heck! this looks ugly" :(
checked out the PC fair, and vaio is so nice!!!! but me no money :(

whee~ public hols today~
lala~
met chork, matt and kenneth (late as usual) at j8 today. lol... we went to swenson's for lunch before heading towards matt's for a gambling session. lala~ got a tasty baked rice :) ooohhh... then we all shared an earthquake or rather a volcano. haha... well, the guys started digging in to the ice cream before me :( hrrrmmmppp :( anyway, nearing the end of the pigging out, i took out the cover of the dried ice bottle. then matt started pouring water into the bottle. and we got a dried ice party :) and apparently, matt poured in too much water and we got like this salt bottle with some boiling liquid :S and suddenly there was this spurt of liquid out of the bottle and splat right on to chalk. haha... (and the couple on the next table was giving us a weird look)
after the tasty lunch we started heading to matt's hse. and it started raining. jus like the few times when we were going to matt (together with chork). maybe next time chork should go to matt's hse alone :) haha... then we start playing texas hold 'em and listening to the guys talk about their times in NS. well, very unfortunately, this time i was down to one red chip :( well, that prolly shows that I am not so good a gambler. :P in then end kenneth and martin (matt's bro) ended up with the most chips. good gamblers yar :P
then it was time to head home, cos chork has to book in so early :( anyway, when we were walking to the bus stop there was this interesting convo. (apparently we are talking about the orange shirt guy was walking to the bus stop opposite. no prize for guessing who he is). A short extract from the convo
A: he looks like a school boy
B: yeah, like a primary 3 boy, overgrown by a few years
yeah.. so now he prolly knows what we are laughing about :)

today
went back to rj for 1day relief teaching today. yep yep. also my last day of the term in rj. Lots of finals happening today, and I crashed the soccer finals. RJ won, but quite unfortunately, I had to miss that moment. ):

rain keeps coming down
went to school today to take mr lee's class cos he got the bowling championship going on... yep yep... met up with vanessa and jean in the afternoon to go to bishan sports hall to play badminton. been a long time since I played a proper game... played for like 2hrs... lol... and now my fingers got blisters *ouch* :(

nothing last forever
gosh... I haven't been updating for so long, almost 3weeks already! this 2months past really fast, and I really enjoyed myself :) my classes were so nice :) lala~ I am a bit upset, but I guess, eventually I'll not be teaching them anymore...
well, june is gonna be another busy month, so I shall take a good break these 2 weeks... yep yep :)

happy days
I am in super good mood this weekend...
wonder why...
anyway, went to Vivo with gladys on sunday :D feeling super hungry, we decided to eat at Marche. The Vivo Marche is a little cramp and they do not sell pizzas there :( but it is super nice. The interior design is damn nice :D haha... Then had my favourite type of coffee, chocolate flavoured ice blended coffee :P then we went walking around Vivo, trying to look for nice clothes, but the prices are kind of jacked up :(

waiting is hard :(
It was supposedly a very slack day for me, but I'm feeling really tired now, unfortunately. 3hrs before my first lesson, then another 3hrs before consultation with my students :S luckily bernie met me for lunch, otherwise there would a skeleton sitting at this very place now. sian... really going to fall asleep already :( the brethren did nothing to keep me awake, neither did the chemical bonding notes. Music did work, until my ears started aching.

shoes shoes and more shoes

last sunday, I went to Orchard with my mom to get, yes as the title of this post suggest, shoes! cos only after 2 weeks of relief teaching, I had already worn out 2 pairs of shoes. YES! I walk that much :( or maybe the shoes lousy lah... anw, I sent my charles and keith shoes to repair already and bought an even nicer one :P

making a difference
I finally tried relief teaching! well, one week had already past and I'm still a little in a daze... it so different from the CPF job! at call centre, you get scolded by people, now you scold people :P and I got this nice laptop for my usuage, plus a non-recording phone :) the only similarity I can think of is perhaps answering questions.. yep. fell asleep on my table jus now, and no one bother :) the only not so good thing is that I have to walk around in painful shoes, and talking to walls (unresponsive students). now I finally realise how bad Mr Lee and all our other teachers felt when they were talking to the stones (S01D). oh yar! they also changed my timetable such that I dun come on friday :( but there are obviously somethings which really makes my day. for eg, there was this class, where the CT rep always make sure the class greet and thank me, which I felt was really nice. and the really great chem teachers who will guide us through the pracs. last but not least, coming back with a different identity is cool :) now they are having council campaigning, which reminds me of my J1 yr.

for my first 3 days there, wl was there as well. yep yep.. went to J8 on monday to eat and to hang out a bit. haven't been seeing her for a long time. on thurs, went to watch Mr Bean's Holiday with matt. matt can do a good imitation of mr bean's "ooh?" and "oui!" lol... the movie is really funny, with a generous splay of mr bean's silly antics.

On sat, went for class outing :) was to serg's house. ok.. kenneth (zheng)! I am damn pissed with you! first, on friday, he told me that the outing was on sun and so I changed tuition to sat, then he realised that it was sat not sun. hrrrmmpp! then he was supposed to meet me at woodlands mrt at 12.40 to buy stuff. and when I reached there at 12.40, I found out that he was still at tpy :( ended up walking around before meeting serg and chork at the mrt station. we were like stoning there for a while, before deciding to go to causeway point to stone even more. then yuxin joined us in the stoning at the basement. then because we waited so long for mr zheng, the evil guy suggested to give him the wrong direction. and obviously, the evil guy is not v capable of lying :P but kenneth believed anyway and was walking around woodlands mrt... lol... being nice and all that, we all went up to look for him. found kenneths there let call them kz and kw/wk. then we went to Jack's place for lunch. matt came late and have to chair the lunch :P (sidenote: this reminds me of the crystal jade treat he was supposed to give us when he led us to the wrong direction during our SRP break 2 yrs ago!) lala~ yx and I shared a spring chicken :) ehh evil guy, girls don't eat much k.
then went to serg's house. wk had to go somewhere else :( lol... anw, serg's cabinet is full of trophies and prizes and photos he took with ministers and so on...lala~ then we settled down for a game of texas hold 'em. after rounds of playing, our dear gambler chork was the winner, which was no surprise since he is such a good gambler. gambler wat didn't do too well though. ended the game at around 5.30, and we jus went home, which was a bit sian... thought they all could eat dinner out. then I ended up eating instant noodles at home :(

on sun I went to this clothes sale at suntec with hueyeng and her brother. josie dun wanna come :( the stuff are cheap, but cos it is the last day, I would guess that most of the nice stuffs are gone :( but hueyeng's abercrombie jacket is cute :) got a nice moose infront... lol... after that, we went walking around suntec and bought some food in the end.
now, I am ready to go for the next lesson. got really baaaadddd ****** today :(

chem-is-try
went back to school yesterday to meet Mr Lee to get my stuff certified plus (apparently) to collect the relief teaching stuff. unfortunately, the previous relief teacher only left behind the attendance book and an atomic structure tutorial answer. yep. I finally saw yx's timetable!!! OMG!!! so slack lah!!! lol... but I still haven't got mine. according to Mr Lee, I'll be taking 4 full classes. :S can die one :(
lol... then I went to run errand for my mama, before going to tanjong pagar to meet my colleagues for lunch. lol... so funny and scandalous :) :) :) lala~!!

universities
lala~
met wj at clementi to go for the NUS open house on saturday. (was late, cos apparently the usually very early grace took the wrong bus followed by the train in the wrong direction) yep. then got to the engineering faculty of NUS. the building was old - much older than the science faculty which I used to go for SRP. lol... then we went to look see the halls. the halls were new and look quite nice. rooms were quite cosy :)
then we rushed away, to NTU. went to the kent ridge terminal and randomly took a bus to buona vista. was a good choice cos there was a shuttle bus from buona vista to NTU. NTU, the buildings were nice :) really new buildings with nice blue translucent windows. oooh... saw the aerospace building :) which haven't open yet. nice, heard they have a chopper inside :) lala~
